Job summary

Ideal Software Systems is seeking a motivated Support Technician for its Financial Services Division to install and support VersiRent hardware and software. The role focuses on Tier 1 support with growth opportunities into Tier 2 and 3, in a fast-paced but engaging environment.

The successful candidate will handle inquiries via calls, email, and live chat, perform troubleshooting, and learn SQL queries on a Microsoft SQL Server database. Strong math skills and customer service focus are valued.

Qualifications

• AA degree or higher in a relevant field.
• 2+ years of technical and/or customer service experience.
• Strong communication and time management skills.
• Familiarity with Windows OS and SQL basics.

Responsibilities

• Answer calls, emails, and chats; troubleshoot and research root causes.
• Escalate issues to development when necessary.
• Perform root-cause analysis and recommend corrective actions.
• Track projects and tickets in an issue-tracking system.
• Install new systems and perform upgrades remotely or on-site.
• System preparation and testing.
• Software testing of new features before release.
• Provide timely feedback and maintain thorough documentation.
