Job summary

Washington University in St. Louis is seeking a Tier 1 desktop support specialist to provide day-to-day end-user assistance across operating systems, software and hardware.

You will respond to tickets, escalate issues, and collaborate with higher-level teams to ensure timely resolutions. The role includes supporting system upgrades and integrations, participating in project tasks, and performing related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Required Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred Qualifications: Associate degree.

Responsibilities

• Desktop support: Provides daily support for computing desktop; OS, software installation, maintenance and hardware. Responds to tickets and escalates as needed.
• Service desk: Liaises with higher-level teams; prioritizes workload; communicates between customers and senior staff.
• Project facilitation: Supports upgrades, system integration and administration within desktop environment.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
