Job summary

Legends at the King Center for the Performing Arts in Melbourne, FL seeks a Ticket Seller to welcome guests, guide them to their seats, and enforce arena policies with courtesy and professionalism.

The position requires strong customer service, conflict resolution, and clear English communication. Expect work on-site with flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays, adhering to safety procedures and policy enforcement.

Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • High School degree or equivalent is required.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Experience in handling conflict in a friendly and effective manner.
  • Ability to read and understand English.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Ability to follow directions and effectively perform the work.

Responsibilities

  • Greet guests and provide event and arena information.
  • Escort guests to sections/seats and monitor stairs and sections.
  • Enforce facility policies and respond to emergencies with appropriate supervision.
  • Address guest questions or complaints and resolve issues.
  • Remain calm and direct guests to safety during emergencies.
  • Work hours include days, nights, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.

Job description

POSITION: Ticket Seller DEPARTMENT: Box Office REPORTS TO: Box Office Manager FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Enthusiastically greet guests and provide event and arena information. Escort guests to their sections/seats, frequently when the arena bowl is dark. Enforce facility policies (i.e., no smoking, no re-entry) by monitoring stairs and sections. Proactively approach guests that may have a question, difficulty, or complaint. Creatively resolve guests' troubles up to the level where intervention by a supervisor is required. Identify and respond to emergencies, involving Security or Supervisors as appropriate. Remain calm and direct guests to the designated area of safety in the event of an emergency. Hours of work include days, nights, weekends, and holidays, meeting all call times as set by management. Other duties and unexpected needs as assigned by management.
