Job summary

Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC is seeking a registered nurse for the Throughput Unit with 10 beds and a wide patient mix. The role involves delivering safe, patient-centered care, applying nursing process, administering treatments, and adapting care as patients' needs change.

The unit supports direct admissions, pre-surgery patients, and those in recovery. Requirements include graduation from a Board of Nursing–approved program, an active RN license

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing–approved nursing program.
• Active, unrestricted RN license (multi-state compact and/or state-specific based on practice location).
• BLS certification.
• At least 1 year of clinical nursing experience.
• Additional certifications or experience may be required based on specialty.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, patient-centered nursing care across the continuum by leveraging the nursing process, administering treatments per protocol, and adapting care based on patient needs.
• Collaborate effectively with the care team while maintaining accurate documentation, supporting quality and safety initiatives, and upholding professional standards, ethics, and ongoing development (including flexibility to float as needed).

Education

Graduate of a Board of Nursing–approved nursing program

Active, unrestricted RN license (multi-state compact and/or state-specific based on practice location)

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

At least 1 year of clinical nursing experience

BSN preferred
