Job description

Volunteer – Thrift Store Support

Volunteer position at Idaho Youth Ranch thrift stores to assist with product rotations, customer service, and donation management.

Responsibilities

• Support staff with routine product rotations to keep inventory fresh (rolling carts, placing products on floor and pulling items).
• Assist in collecting and categorizing donations.
• Enhance customer service by warmly greeting and assisting shoppers.
• Apply expertise in categories such as home goods, clothing, shoes, accessories, or books to assist with pricing.
• Ensure the store’s shelves and racks are clean, well-organized, and visually appealing.

Availability

Weekly. Days/hours vary by store.

Requirements

• Be at least 13 years old.
• Submit application.
• Undergo a general criminal background check.
• Complete interview.
• Comply with all Idaho Youth Ranch Volunteer Policies and Procedures.
