Job summary

The Salvation Army thrift store in San Rafael, CA is hiring a part-time Sales Associate/Material Handler. You will greet customers and donors, operate the cash register, stock and merchandise items, and help maintain a clean, organized store. Flexibility for evenings and weekends is expected.

Responsibilities include processing donations, following TSA policies, and providing receipts to donors while delivering great service and working as part of a dedicated team.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent is required.
• Must be able to operate POS/Cash Register and handle cash accurately.
• Must pass a background check including Criminal History and Sex Offender Registry.
• Ability to communicate effectively with management, teammates, customers and donors.

Responsibilities

• Greet Customers and Donors and provide prompt, courteous assistance.
• Stock, price and merchandise items for sale.
• Process donations and maintain store cleanliness and organization.
• Follow POS policies and safety procedures; maintain store area and perform routine cleaning.
• Assist in donation trailer/pod area and provide receipts to donors.
