Job summary

The Salvation Army ARC San Francisco is seeking a Sales Associate/Material Handler for a Santa Rosa thrift store. This part-time role will support the Retail team, greeting customers and donors, processing donations, stocking merchandise, and upholding store standards.

Ideal candidates have a High School diploma, can operate a POS system, pass a background check, and work flexible hours including weekends. This position offers employee discounts and PTO.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience operating POS/Cash Register.
• Ability to pass background check (Criminal History and Sex Offender Registry).
• Effective communication with management, coworkers, donors and customers.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and donors and assist promptly.
• Stock items on the sales floor and process donations.
• Maintain store cleanliness and safety per TSA standards.
• Follow POS/Cash Register policies and HR procedures.
