The Salvation Army in Reno operates a thrift store as part of its Adult Rehabilitation Program. The Sales Associate I helps run daily store operations, handles cash, maintains store appearance, and provides courteous customer service while following store policies.

Responsibilities include stocking, cleaning, answering phones, and assisting with daily paperwork. The role requires a Nevada Class C Driver License and availability for on-site work in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Must be able to handle cash, make change and operate register.
• Must be able to take instructions and carry them out without direct supervision.
• Knowledge of merchandise preferred.
• Good rapport with customers.
• Strong ability to utilize high levels of time management and multitasking.

Responsabilités

• Stock, clean, rag out goods, operate the cash register and prepare daily paperwork.
• Responsible for keys to open and/or close store.
• Responsible for maintaining good customer relations and giving prompt, courteous assistance to all customers.
• Answer telephone in a courteous fashion and direct caller to appropriate department.
• Ensure store appearance is clean and orderly.
• Responsible for janitorial duties: e.g., cleaning windows, vacuuming, dusting, sweeping, cleaning bathrooms, etc. as assigned by management.
• Other duties assigned by Store Manager or Assistant Manager.
