Job summary

The Salvation Army USA Western Territory is seeking a SALES ASSOCIATE/MATERIAL HANDLER for our Silverado Thrift Store in Las Vegas, NV. The role focuses on delivering excellent customer service, processing donations and sales, stocking merchandise, and maintaining a clean, organized store environment.

The position requires a High School diploma or GED, ability to handle POS transactions, and a readiness to pass a background check.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Must pass background check.
• Ability to communicate effectively with management, fellow store employees, customers and donors.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and donors with a friendly, helpful attitude and provide prompt assistance.
• Stock priced items and merchandize the sales floor.
• Maintain the store and donation area: keep it clean, neat and organized; perform cleaning duties as assigned.
• Follow POS/Cash Register policies and TSA procedures during transactions.
• Maintain safety and compliance standards and attend monthly store meetings.
• Receive, unload, and stock incoming inventory accurately and efficiently.
• Inspect products for defects and damages to provide Quality Assurance.
• Assist donors in removing items and provide receipts; separate donations into proper containers.
