Job summary

No Longer Bound in Cumming, GA, seeks an Assistant Manager for its thrift store to support the Store Manager in daily retail operations, staff development and customer service. You will supervise cash handling, banking tasks, and personnel activities while maintaining engaging displays and donor relations.

Responsibilities include training new hires, overseeing volunteer programs, and ensuring a positive shopping experience aligned with the organization's mission.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, comprehend, analyze and interpret memos and correspondence.

Responsibilities

• Lead and equip team in retail operations, including handling cash and card payments and refunds.
• Assist in weekly bank deposits and ensure accuracy and security of store funds.
• Maintain customer service standards and shopping experience in line with the mission.
• Communicate effectively and oversee the Volunteer program.
• Handle administrative tasks such as new hire paperwork and staff training.
• Train staff in stocking shelves and clothing racks to maximize shopping opportunities.
• Manage store displays and layout changes to create a pleasant shopping environment.
• Collaborate with Processing Manager, processing staff and donors to maintain flow of information.
