Job summary

The Salvation Army USA Western Territory is seeking a Sales Associate IV to help operate the Reno Thrift Store as part of the Reno Adult Rehabilitation Program. The role includes cash handling, customer service, stocking goods, and day-to-day store operations to support program goals.

Responsibilities encompass customer relations, telephone inquiries, store appearance, and maintaining daily paperwork, with additional duties assigned by supervision as needed.

Qualifications

• Ability to handle cash, make change and operate the cash register.
• Follow instructions without direct supervision.
• Merchandise knowledge preferred.
• Good customer rapport.
• Strong ability to utilize high levels of time management and multitasking.
• Previous retail experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Stocking and ragging out goods; operate the cash register and prepare daily paperwork.
• Maintain good customer relations; provide prompt, courteous assistance to all customers.
• Answer the telephone in a courteous fashion and direct callers to the appropriate person/department.
• Ensure the store’s appearance is clean and orderly.
• Perform janitorial duties such as cleaning windows, vacuuming, dusting, sweeping, etc. as assigned by management.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
