Job summary

Christian Recovery Centers Inc. is seeking an Assistant Thrift Store Manager to oversee the daily thrift store operations across multiple locations, ensuring friendly customer service and adherence to CRCI policies and standards.

You will supervise paid staff and volunteers, assist with recruiting, training, and onboarding, manage donations, pricing, merchandising, and cash handling, and help maintain a safe, welcoming environment that supports CRCI's Residential Treatment Program.

Responsibilities

• Supports the day-to-day operations of the thrift store, including timely opening and closing procedures; assists the Store Manager in supervising paid staff and volunteers.
• Recruiting, training, and onboarding of staff and volunteers; planning, assigning, and overseeing daily work activities.
• Provides regular feedback and communicates performance concerns to the Store Manager; resolves issues on the sales floor.
• Ensures compliance with security, cash handling, and recordkeeping procedures; covers shifts as needed.
• Assists with donation processing, sorting, tagging, pricing, merchandising, and maintaining clean, organized sales floors.
• Promotes a positive, respectful work environment and supports operational improvements with the Store Manager.
