Job summary

The Salvation Army Thrift Store is seeking an Assistant Manager to support daily operations, lead staff and volunteers, and ensure pricing, displays, and stock turnover meet policy standards.

You will oversee training, security of funds and items, and customer service while coordinating with the Store Manager on promotions and level of service. High school diploma or GED required, with prior retail supervisory experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Two years progressively responsible experience in a retail store environment.
• At least one year in a supervisory capacity within retail.

Responsibilities

• Administers day-to-day operations of a small thrift store.
• Trains staff and volunteers in procedures and safety.
• Supervises pricing, display, and rotation of merchandise.
• Manages cash register operations, deposits, and records.
• Ensures security and accountability of all store funds and items.
• Assists customers and rings up sales with courtesy and efficiency.
