The Salvation Army Grand Rapids Thrift Store is seeking a Store Assistant Manager to support daily operations, assist with customer service, inventory flow, and staff coordination. The role emphasizes merchandising, promotions, and upholding the store’s mission in the local community.

Wage ranges from $17.60 to $19.15 per hour for a 40-hour week, Tuesday through Saturday. On-site location in Grand Rapids, MN with requirements to pass background checks and have a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• One or more years of retail experience, preferably in a non-profit or thrift store setting.
• Previous experience processing cash is preferred.
• Must pass background checks and have a valid driver’s license with MVR requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily store operations and opening/closing procedures.
• Support inventory sorting, pricing and merchandising of donated items.
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain a welcoming store environment.
• Assist in implementing promotions and merchandising plans to maximize sales.
• Maintain a clean and safe store environment and report issues to the Store Manager.
