Job summary

Duke Energy offers an Enterprise Protective Services (EPS) Threat Intelligence Summer Internship designed for currently enrolled students. You will work on open-source intelligence, data processing, and structured analysis to understand security risks and to protect critical infrastructure.

The program encourages networking with interns and senior staff while gaining real hands-on experience. Hybrid work arrangements apply, with preference for those near Charlotte, NC.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a 4-year degree program with a major in Criminal Justice, National Security, Intelligence, or related field.
• GPA of at least 2.75; must not graduate before August 2027.
• Desired: GPA 3.0 or higher; leadership and volunteer experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct OSINT research to identify threats to Duke Energy and U.S. energy sector.
• Perform data collation and processing relevant to threat intelligence.
• Engage in structured analysis to understand security risks.
• Create requirements-driven intelligence products to protect critical infrastructure.
• Gain exposure to regulatory compliance for critical infrastructure protection.
