Job summary

Duke Energy in Charlotte, NC invites enrolled college students to join the Information Technology Summer Internship Program. IT Interns will gain on-the-job experience across software engineering, data analytics, AI, cybersecurity, infrastructure and cloud engineering while contributing to team goals.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in IT or engineering with a 2.75+ GPA, not graduating before August 2026, and eager to learn in a collaborative, hands-on environment

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a IT/Engineering degree. GPA 2.75+ required.
• Must not graduate before August 2026.
• Previous internship experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Gain on-the-job experience in software engineering, data analytics, AI, cybersecurity, infrastructure and cloud engineering.
• Work with a team to contribute to department goals and develop technical skills during the 10–12 week summer session.
