Job summary

The New York County District Attorney’s Office (DANY) invites applications for a Counter Terrorism Analyst in the Counter Terrorism Unit. The analyst will assist with data collection, organization, and analysis, work with NYPD and federal partners, and prepare briefings on related case topics.

Requirements include a bachelor’s degree (or master’s) and one year of relevant experience, plus strong analytical, communication, and presentation capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with one year of relevant experience or master’s degree.
• Excellent organization, communication, writing and problem‑solving skills; detail oriented.
• Proficiency in presentation software and ability to adapt to new technology.

Responsibilities

• Read and review international and domestic terrorism materials posted online.
• Organize evidence, participate in witness interviews, and draft legal process and orders for grand jury.
• Prepare transcripts from recordings.
• Compile and analyze data into reports, spreadsheets, charts, and documents for presentations.
• Create and maintain in‑house databases, filing, and records management systems.
• Perform administrative and executive support tasks including preparing agendas and materials for meetings.
• Conduct a full range of investigative duties and handle special projects.
