Job summary

Katten Muchin Rosenman LLP is seeking an Information Security Analyst in a hybrid Chicago-based role. You will monitor security events, investigate incidents, and help strengthen threat detection and data protection across the firm.

The position requires a bachelor's degree in a related field and 2–4 years of cybersecurity experience, with preferred certifications such as Security+. You will collaborate with IT and business units, and occasional travel may be necessary.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field; 2–4 years of cybersecurity experience or equivalent.
• Experience investigating security alerts, suspicious activity, and incidents; familiarity with SIEM/XDR/EDR, DLP, and network security.
• Ability to communicate complex findings to technical and non-technical audiences; travel occasionally may be required.

Responsibilities

• Analyze security logs and correlate data from multiple sources to identify anomalies.
• Conduct proactive threat hunting and indicators of compromise.
• Investigate DLP, endpoint, XDR/EDR, and Zscaler alerts; document findings and escalate as needed.
• Support incident response activities including evidence collection, containment, remediation, and post-incident review.
• Collaborate with IT, infrastructure, and stakeholders on investigations and risk mitigation.
• Develop and enhance detection rules, alerts, and monitoring processes.
