Job description

Referment is working with a global investment and technology firm to build out a new Hedge Fund Portfolio Strategy function inside its Thought Leadership team. The function turns portfolio- and markets-related insight into investor-facing content that supports fundraising and capital retention, working closely with Investor Relations and investment teams across the firm. This is a ground-floor seat: you'll help shape how a new function operates while producing content that investors actually read.

The Role
  • Help build a new function whose mandate is to support the raising and retention of capital.
  • Partner with Communications, Investor Relations, and research and investment teams to source strategy- and portfolio-level insight, including monthly performance and market color.
  • Develop and maintain hedge fund strategy summaries, educational materials, and other evergreen reference content for Investor Relations.
  • Run the drafting and review process for longer-form pieces — white papers, market deep dives, conference presentations, and speaker materials.
  • Handle bespoke content requests and help build the infrastructure the function needs as it scales.
What We're Looking For
  • A bachelor's degree or higher, and roughly two to five years of relevant experience.
  • Experience producing alternative investment content — from financial markets, investor relations, investment research, or product specialist roles.
  • Strong research, editing, and project management skills, with the judgment to manage several priorities at once.
  • The ability to translate complex investment concepts into clear, accurate, client-ready writing.
  • Comfort working directly with senior stakeholders and building an internal network quickly.
  • An interest in using technology to scale and improve how content gets made.

This could suit someone from an investor relations, investment research, or product specialist background who writes well about markets and wants to own a new function's content from the start.
