Job description

About The Role

We are a growth-stage hedge fund seeking a commercially sharp Investor Relations & Fundraising Manager to own global investor acquisition end-to-end. You will identify, engage, and convert HNI/UHNI clients, family offices, and institutional allocators across geographies — building a genuine book of business, not just managing a relationship list. This is a revenue-accountable role. You will be expected to operate with a high degree of autonomy, run complex cross-border conversations, and bring in capital — not just leads.

What you’ll own — Investor acquisition & pipeline
  • Source, qualify, and convert HNI/UHNI individuals, single-family offices, multi-family offices, and institutional investors (endowments, pension sub-advisors, fund-of-funds) across Asia, the Middle East, Europe, and North America.
  • Build and maintain a structured pipeline with clear stage discipline — from cold introduction through due diligence to subscription close.
  • Own the full sales cycle: outbound outreach, introductory meetings, investment committee presentations, term negotiation, and onboarding.
AUM growth & revenue
  • Deliver consistent AUM growth against quarterly and annual targets; compensation is directly linked to performance.
  • Identify cross-sell and up-sell opportunities within the existing investor base to deepen wallet share.
  • Track and report pipeline metrics, conversion rates, and revenue attribution to leadership on a regular cadence.
Positioning & investor relations
  • Translate complex investment strategies — long/short equity, derivatives overlays, arbitrage structures — into clear, compelling narratives tailored to each investor profile.
  • Lead pitch meetings, roadshows, and one-on-one investor calls with confidence and factual precision.
  • Collaborate with portfolio management and research teams to produce investor materials: pitch decks, DDQs, fund commentaries, and one-pagers.
  • Act as a market intelligence node: feed investor sentiment, competitive positioning insights, and product feedback back to the investment and product teams.
Compliance & governance
  • Ensure all investor interactions, documentation, and onboarding processes adhere to applicable regulations and internal governance standards.
  • Maintain accurate records in the CRM; update deal status and investor data in real time.
What we’re looking for — Non-negotiable
  • 5+ years of experience at a hedge fund, alternative asset manager, or wealth management firm in a sales or investor relations capacity.
  • Demonstrated track record of independently acquiring HNI/UHNI or institutional clients — you have names, AUM numbers, and a story to tell.
  • Solid working knowledge of alternative investment strategies: long/short equity, event-driven, global macro, fixed income arbitrage, or derivatives.
  • Experience conducting investor discussions across international jurisdictions (cross-border regulatory awareness is essential, not a bonus).
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; ability to simplify without dumbing down.
Strong advantage
  • Existing, portable network of HNI/UHNI relationships, family office allocators, or institutional contacts.
  • Experience pitching offshore structures, GIFT City vehicles, Cayman funds, or equivalent international fund domiciles.
  • MBA (Finance), CFA, CA, or equivalent professional qualification.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools (Salesforce, HubSpot, or equivalent) and investor reporting platforms.
