Banner University Medical Center Phoenix seeks a board-certified thoracic surgeon to build and lead a new lung transplant program. Ideal candidates will have fellowship training in thoracic surgery with lung transplant experience and a vision to serve patients across the Southwest.

Qualifications

• American Board of Surgery & American Board of Thoracic Surgery certified or eligible
• 5+ years of experience
• Academic/research oriented with teaching residents, fellows, and medical students
• All aspects of general thoracic surgery with lung transplant focus
• Experience in minimally invasive and robotic techniques
• Clinical faculty and graduating thoracic surgeons encouraged to apply

Responsibilities

• Build and lead a new lung transplant program.
• Shape clinical protocols, multidisciplinary team, referral network, and UNOS certification.
• Academic appointment with the University of Arizona College of Medicine - Phoenix available.
