Qualifications

• Board certification by the American Board of Surgery and American Board of Thoracic Surgery or eligible.
• 5+ years of experience in thoracic/general thoracic surgery.
• Academic and teaching experience with residents, fellows, and medical students encouraged.
• Experience in minimally invasive and robotic thoracic techniques.
• Focus on lung transplantation and related thoracic procedures.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead a new lung transplant program within an academic network.
• Develop clinical protocols, multidisciplinary teams, and referral networks.
• Oversee UNOS certification processes and program growth.
• Provide teaching and mentorship to residents and fellows.
