Job description

Join our team at Costanzo's, a leading commercial bakery, as an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic for our second or third shift. We are seeking a highly motivated and responsible individual with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. The ideal candidate will possess problem-solving, troubleshooting, analytical and critical thinking capabilities. You will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, installing and updating electrical systems and components in our high-speed manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain electrical equipment such as wiring, switches, switchboards and electrical mechanisms.
• Measure, cut, bend, assemble and install electrical conduits.
• Install, maintain, and repair a variety of industrial electrical equipment used in commercial bakery manufacturing.
• Interpret complicated wiring diagrams and schematic drawings and provide direction to others.
• Solve electrical emergency problems or escalate to supervisor as needed.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in a food manufacturing facility preferred (commercial bread manufacturing highly preferred).
• Experience as an industrial electrician in a high-speed manufacturing or technical environment required.
• Knowledge of NEC, OSHA, electronic test equipment, single and three phase electrical systems and wiring procedures to 600V required.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical blueprints, schematics and parts specifications.
• Knowledge and some programming of PLCs (Allen Bradley), servo drives and VFDs in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Knowledge and some programming of Yaskawa robotics palletizer is preferred.

Compensation

This is a full-time, non-exempt position, with a base rate between $25-37 / hour based on experience and skill sets. Shift differential for second and third shift hours and opportunities for overtime are available. A shift differential is supplied to third shift positions, in addition to the base rate listed above, in the amount of $1.50 / hour.
