Job description

**Laundry Attendants** provide a critical service to the Resort, ensuring that all linen and terry are properly handled and ready for use. Laundry Attendants will sort, wash, dry, and fold all linen and terry for the Resort. They will also follow reclaim procedures for stained and damaged inventory, and assist with stocking Housekeeping Closets with ready inventory.

Must be available to work overnight, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

1. Sort, wash, dry, and fold linen & terry according to Resort standards.
2. Inspect linen & terry for stains and damage, and follow reclaim procedures when needed.
3. Properly operate washers and dryers according to mechanical standards.
4. Inform the Laundry Supervisor or Directors of supplies or chemical needs.
5. Assist with maintaining an accurate inventory of supplies.
6. Maintain linen carts.
7. Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Education and Experience

At least one (1) year of experience in a Housekeeping Department or commercial laundry is preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand or sit for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
• Work in outdoor areas and in inclement weather.
