Godshall’s Quality Meats is hiring a First Shift Maintenance Mechanic Technician to support our growing food manufacturing operations. The role focuses on preventive maintenance, repairs, and equipment installations across production, packaging, and utility systems, with emphasis on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.

The position requires reading manuals and schematics, performing lockout/tagout, and ensuring safe operation of machinery.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic knowledge helpful.
• Ability to read manuals, schematics, and diagrams.
• Mpulse experience preferred for maintenance software.
• Basic computer and math skills required.
• Experience with preventive maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Ability to safely use hand and power tools.
• Ability to work around hazardous materials and heavy machinery.

Responsabilités

• Perform preventive maintenance, repairs and installations on production equipment.
• Troubleshoot breakdowns and conduct equipment inspections.

Godshall’s Quality Meats is seeking a skilled First Shift Maintenance Mechanic Technician to support our rapidly expanding food manufacturing operations. This role is essential to keeping our equipment running safely, efficiently, and reliably.

Shift: 10:00 PM to 06:30 AM

Pay: Competitive, based on experience

Type: Full-time

Position Overview

The Maintenance Mechanic Technician performs preventive maintenance, repairs, and equipment installations on production, processing, packaging, and utility systems. This role supports mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems and ensures safe operation of machinery throughout the facility. Work includes scheduled PMs, troubleshooting breakdowns, equipment inspections, and general facility maintenance tasks.

What You’ll DoEquipment Maintenance and Repairs

• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair production, packaging, and processing equipment
• Perform scheduled and unscheduled preventive maintenance
• Conduct equipment inspections and complete required documentation
• Install, set up, and adapt new machinery, including electrical, mechanical, layout, and computer considerations
• Perform lockout/tagout consistently and correctly
• Read and interpret manuals, schematics, and equipment diagrams
• Perform mechanical and electrical repairs, including vacuum issues and root-cause troubleshooting
• Perform fabrication, welding, or machining when needed (TIG/MIG is a plus)
• Support and maintain utility systems, including steam, air, cooling, and power

Operational and Facility Support

• Complete work orders using the maintenance software system (Mpulse)
• Document all work performed, including parts usage and corrective actions
• Conduct general facility maintenance such as unclogging drains, fixing hoses, changing light bulbs, etc.
• Provide on-call and emergency breakdown support when required
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
• Review manuals and reference literature to stay current on updates to equipment

Safety and Communication

• Follow all Safety and Health policies, including LOTO
• Report unsafe conditions immediately
• Consult with supervisors regarding unusual problems or equipment concerns
• Communicate clearly with technicians, supervisors, and production teams
• Support continuous improvement and long-term equipment reliability

QualificationsRequired

• High school diploma or GED
• Mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic knowledge
• Ability to read and interpret manuals, schematics, and diagrams
• Ability to use maintenance software (Mpulse experience preferred)
• Basic computer and math skills
• Experience performing preventive maintenance and troubleshooting
• Ability to safely use hand tools and power tools
• Ability to work around hazardous materials and heavy machinery

Preferred

• Experience in manufacturing or food processing
• TIG/MIG welding or machining experience
• Understanding of HACCP, SOPs, GMPs
• Experience operating within a CMMS system
• Ability to diagnose and repair 480V electrical systems (based on Level III expectations)

• Use of smell to diagnose equipment issues when applicable
