Maintenance Mechanic Technician
Location: Lebanon, PA. Work schedule: 5 days per week, including weekends (Saturday and Sunday).
Duties / Responsibilities
- Properly troubleshoot and repair all equipment associated with production, cooling, freezing, and packaging, including mixers, dividers, retarders, coolers, freezers, conveyors, metal detectors, box erectors, and bagging systems, in a timely manner with minimal supervision.
- Perform preventative maintenance on all equipment according to assignment and schedule.
- Perform general maintenance duties related to plant equipment and building.
- Execute mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, welding, and plumbing work as required.
- Rebuild or replace equipment as needed, including pumps, gear boxes, bearings, bushings, chains, conveyors, and other components.
- Work overtime, including weekends, holidays, and emergencies, as necessary.
Requirements
- Ability to use basic hand tools and power tools.
- Ability to read blueprints and create layout sketches.
- Basic knowledge of gas, gas tungsten (TIG), gas metal (MIG), and arc welding, and ability to use a plasma cutter.
- Timely analysis and repair of all plant breakdowns using basic troubleshooting skills.
- Fabrication experience required.
- Ability to troubleshoot and wire a 3‑phase motor and repair 110‑volt and 24‑volt control wiring.
- Knowledge of PLC preferred.
- Good understanding of refrigeration systems.
- Proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking). Spanish is a plus.
- Food production maintenance mechanic experience required.
Physical Requirements
- Remaining stationary or standing for prolonged periods.
- Move between work sites or stations as needed.
- Communicate with others to exchange information.
- Use hands and fingers to handle objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms.
- Stoop, kneel, and bend as required.
- Be exposed to environmental changes (heat, cold, dampness, chemicals) in the plant.
- Operate in a manufacturing environment with strict work/safety rules.
- Carry up to 50 pounds.
Food Safety Responsibilities
Support the Quality Assurance Manager by verifying employee compliance with HACCP, GMPs, SOPs, SSOPs, and safety procedures within all plant processing areas.

Salary
$30 – $40 per hour
