Job summary

Valley Health System is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant for the Neuro Surgical department for the third shift. The role involves routine patient care under RN or LPN supervision in Winchester Rehabilitation Center/Winchester Medical Center locations in the United States.

Candidates should have a high school diploma (or equivalent) and be registered as a Certified Nurse Aide in Virginia and/or West Virginia, with BLS certification required prior to orientation completion.

Qualifications

• Must understand basic principles of human growth and development.
• Competent to interact with patients according to age-related needs.
• Must have reliable phone communication with hospital.

Responsibilities

• The CNA, under supervision of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse, performs routine personal care duties for patients.
• Maintains a safe environment and reports any problems.
• May act as a preceptor in the orientation of new CNAs after gaining experience.
