Job summary

The Barack Obama Foundation is seeking an Assistant Custodial Operations Supervisor for the Obama Presidential Center on the Chicago South Side. You will lead custodial teams, oversee floor care programs, and ensure adherence to APPA, LEED Platinum, and WELL standards to support world‑class facilities.

You will coordinate schedules, budgets, and staffing while collaborating with leadership to streamline workflows and maintain high‑quality interior environments for visitors, staff, and programs.

Qualifications

• Experience leading custodial teams in cultural or entertainment settings.
• Ability to resolve issues with minimal supervision.
• Familiarity with inventory and equipment management.
• Attention to detail and ability to manage staff.
• Flexible hours including mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Supervise custodial staff ensuring APPA, LEED, and WELL standards.
• Monitor vendors to meet schedules and service goals.
• Develop procedures for efficient, sustainable operations and inventory control.
• Use CMMS to collect data and optimize operations and address maintenance issues.
• Oversee interior facilities maintenance and floor care across campus.
