Job summary

SIU Medicine seeks an Educational Coordinator to implement the Think First Brain and Spinal Cord Injury Prevention program across central and southern Illinois. On-site role coordinating school-based presentations, health fairs, and community education with a focus on injury prevention.

The candidate will manage schedules, materials, and staff, partner with schools, and support grant reporting and program evaluation. Bachelor's degree and education experience required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (120 hours) in public health education, social work, psychology or related field.
• Two years of experience delivering professional presentations or health education programs.
• Master's degree or CHES certification may substitute or enhance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate ThinkFirst for Teen programs in central/southern Illinois.
• Schedule programs, manage materials, train presenters, and transport equipment.
• Deliver presentations in high schools, health fairs and community events.
• Assist with grant reporting and program evaluation activities.
