Butler Machinery Co. invites high school juniors and seniors to join the ThinkBIG Diesel Technology program in Watertown, SD, combining lab work at LATC with paid internships at Butler CAT stores.

Participants earn a scholarship, gain Caterpillar system knowledge, and graduate with an AAS in Diesel Technology. Graduates may transition to full-time technician roles at Butler locations across ND/SD/NE/MT, with starting pay of $32.73/hour and ongoing education benefits and career advancement

Qualifications

• High school applicants must be a junior or senior in high school.
• High School Diploma or GED required at program start.
• Must be 18 by first internship.
• Must have valid work authorization to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Participate in ThinkBIG internship rotations at Butler dealerships.
• Learn Caterpillar diesel systems through LATC classroom and lab work.
• Maintain safety and a clean, organized work environment.
• Pursue an AAS degree in Diesel Technology after completing the program.
