Butler Machinery Co is seeking ThinkBIG students for a 2-year diesel technology program in North Dakota. The program blends classroom and lab work at NDSCS with paid internships at a Butler store, leading to an AAS in Diesel Technology.

ThinkBIG provides tuition, books, housing, tools, and fees not covered by scholarship. Graduates may transition to full-time technician roles starting at over $32.73/hour, with opportunities for advancement across ND, SD, NE and MT.

Qualifications

• High school juniors or seniors may apply.
• HS diploma or GED required at program start.
• Must be 18 by the first internship.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a minimum GPA of 3.0 while in the program.
• Work the minimum internship hours (1,280).
• Be prepared for work and school and arrive on time.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
• Work independently and as part of a team.
• Tuition, books, housing, tools and fees not covered by scholarship.
• Secure housing arrangements at school and internship location.
• Commit to lifelong learning and training to stay ahead of industry standards.
• Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs.
• Other duties as assigned.
