Job summary

BYK Additives & Instruments is seeking a highly motivated Technical Sales Representative to lead the plastics additives portfolio in the United States. You will act as the technical and commercial lead for our additive products, including customized blends sold by BYK Plastics.

The role focuses on driving growth in the Thermoplastic market, developing relationships with Tier 1 suppliers, compounders, and converters, and identifying unmet performance needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, polymer engineering, or related field.
• Knowledge of the plastics industry; automotive segment preferred.
• Minimum 7 years relevant experience working for a commercial business in the polymer industry.
• Experience within technical service and/or commercial sales is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drive sales growth within the Thermoplastics segments and existing accounts.
• Manage and grow relationships with Tier 1 suppliers, compounders, and converters.
• Develop new business with prospective customers and expand opportunities.
• Engage in trade organizations and major industry events.
• Travel up to 50% to meet customers and support sales initiatives.
