Indelco Plastics Corporation in Minneapolis, MN is seeking a skilled Pipe Fitter/Fabricator to join our fabrication shop, focused on thermoplastic pipe spools. This role emphasizes solvent cement and fusion welding and requires precision fitting, layout, and assembly to customer drawings and specifications.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with thermoplastic piping systems, understands fusion joining processes, and takes pride in high-quality, code-compliant work.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience fitting and fabricating pipe (thermoplastic preferred).
• Hands-on with infrared, butt and socket fusion welding equipment.
• Ability to read isometric and spool drawings and piping specs.
• Shop tools, measuring instruments, and pipe fitting knowledge.
• Detail-oriented and committed to code-compliant work.
• Ability to work independently and in a team in a fast-paced shop.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret isometric and spool drawings to plan layout and assembly.
• Fit, align, and fabricate thermoplastic pipe spools using fusion welding.
• Measure, mark, and cut pipe and fittings to drawings and tolerances.
• Inspect joints for quality and conformity to specs.
• Maintain documentation including logs and traveler notations.
• Operate and maintain fusion welding equipment with proper calibration.
• Collaborate with engineers, management, and quality staff to resolve issues.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area per shop standards.
• Support continuous improvement in fabrication quality and throughput.
