Job summary

Flow Control Group's Indelco Plastics division is seeking a skilled Pipe Fitter/Fabricator to join our fabrication shop, focusing on thermoplastic pipe spools. You will work with solvent cement, fusion welding, and precise fitting to customer drawings and specs.

Candidates should have hands-on experience with thermoplastic piping systems, fusion joining processes, and a pride in delivering high-quality, code-compliant work.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience fitting and fabricating thermoplastic pipe (PVC/CPVC/PP/PVDF/HDPE).
• Hands-on with infrared, butt, and socket fusion welding equipment.
• Ability to read isometric and spool drawings and piping specs.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Able to work independently and in a fast-paced fabrication shop.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret isometric and spool drawings to determine layout.
• Fit, align, and fabricate thermoplastic pipe spools via fusion welding.
• Measure, mark, and cut pipe to precise dimensions.
• Inspect joints and spools for quality and compliance.
• Maintain documentation (bonder qualification records, traveler notes, fusion logs).
• Operate and maintain fusion equipment safely.
• Collaborate with engineers and quality staff to resolve issues.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area per shop standards.
• Support continuous improvement in fabrication quality and throughput.
