Job summary

Novolex is seeking a Thermoforming Process Technician to support process start-ups, work with corporate engineers on new product development and maintain process sheets. You will identify improvements on the production floor, contribute to new product development, and help enhance product quality through reliable process control.

Ideal candidates have a two-year technical degree or five years of relevant experience, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to read schematics.

Qualifications

• Two year technical degree or five years relevant experience.
• Experience working with machinery.
• Experience in analyzing and solving problems.
• Good analytical skills with initiative and troubleshooting.
• Teamwork skills.
• Ability to read and understand schematics and blueprints.
• Good verbal, written and presentation skills.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Computer skills (word processing, spreadsheets, ERP system) required.

Responsibilities

• Be proactive in identifying improved process capabilities on the production floor.
• Provide input to new product development teams upon request. Actively participate in start-ups of jobs.
• Following established programs improve overall product quality on a continual basis.
• Thorough understanding of material behavior in the thermoforming process.
• Assist in the start-up of new equipment with process support.
• Maintain and upkeep process definition sheets and tracking system.
• Ability to work on equipment with basic hand tools.
• Maintain high degree of technical proficiency acquired through experience and on-the-job training.
• Other duties as necessary
