Job summary

Novolex Corporate is seeking a Set-up Technician to support the plastics manufacturing line with thermoforming set-ups, tooling installation, and uptime improvement. The role requires following safety policies, maintaining clean production areas, and coordinating with the tool room for supplies and repairs.

The candidate should have a HS Diploma or GED and 2-3 years related experience, strong problem-solving and mechanical skills, clear written and verbal communication, and teamwork ability.

Qualifications

• Must have an outstanding work record.
• Position requires an HS Diploma or GED, and 2-3 years related experience.
• Demonstrated problem solving and mechanical skills are also required.
• Ability to communicate clearly, both in writing and verbally is required, as is the ability to perform basic mathematical operations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
• Ability to work with others effectively as a part of a team is essential

Responsibilities

• Install and remove tooling and perform thermoforming set-ups.
• Operate tool room equipment and read blueprints.
• Maintain housekeeping in production areas and on equipment to keep the work area clean, safe, and contamination-free.
• Identify and report safety hazards, near misses, or injuries to supervisor on shift.
• Safely operate forklifts, hand-jacks, hydraulic cranes, and other powered equipment.
