Job summary

Novolex in Hazleton, PA is seeking a Thermoforming Process Technician to support start-ups, resolve production issues with the process team, and collaborate with Corporate engineers on new product development and R&D trials.

The role requires understanding material behavior in thermoforming, maintaining process sheets, and ensuring ISO-compliant quality. You will operate thermoforming equipment, read schematics, and contribute to a safe, efficient manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Two year technical degree or five years relevant experience.
• Experience working with machinery.
• Experience in analyzing and solving problems.
• Good analytical skills with initiative and trouble shooting skills.
• Teamwork skills.
• Ability to read and understand schematics and blueprints.
• Computer skills (word processing, spreadsheets, ERP system, etc.)
• Good verbal, written and presentation skills.
• Ability to work under pressure.

Job Description

The Thermoforming Process Technicianis responsible for working with process team leader to resolve ongoing problems, supporting setup in bringing lines into production, working with Corporate engineers on new product development and R&D trial requests, and working with process team leader to maintain accurate and up to date process sheets.

KEY JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Be proactive in identifying improved process capabilities on the production floor
• Provide input to new product development teams upon request. Actively participate in start-ups of jobs
• Following established programs improve overall product quality on a continual basis
• Thorough understanding of material behavior in the thermoforming process
• Assist in the start-up of new equipment with process support
• Maintain and upkeep process definition sheets and tracking system
• Ability to work on equipment with basic hand tools
• Maintain high degree of technical proficiency acquired through experience and on-the-job training versus prolonged courses or specialized instruction.
• Other duties as necessary
