Job summary

Therm-x is seeking a Mechanical Engineer I/II to design components and product variants for brazed and welded heater assemblies. You will turn requirements into 3D models, run calculations, and see parts go from desk to machined, brazed, and tested.

This learn-by-building role grows quickly in a small, customer-focused company. Onsite at Hayward, CA, you’ll develop CAD models (SolidWorks/Inventor/Solid Edge), perform heat-transfer calculations, and support prototypes and production transfers,

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering; Level II requires 3+ years of mechanical design.
• Onsite in Hayward, CA with travel to Mexico; passport required.
• Experience with GD&T and drawing packages for release.
• Hands-on fabrication and test setup experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop 3D models and assemblies for heater components.
• Perform power and heat-transfer calculations.
• Review customer requirements and prepare BOMs.
• Support prototype builds and testing.
• Coordinate production transfers with Therm-x Mexico.
• Create design documentation and support design reviews.
• Own engineering changes for parts.
• Use AI-assisted workflows in design processes.
