Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a specialized Mechanical Engineer with expertise in Thermal Systems to join our client in Paarl. You will design, analyze, and optimize thermal management solutions, applying thermodynamics and heat transfer to create efficient, reliable systems in a dynamic, hybrid work environment.

Responsibilities include designing thermal systems, conducting CFD/FEA simulations, selecting materials, integrating solutions into product designs, executing test plans, and documenting

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on thermal sciences.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in thermal system design and analysis.
• Proficiency with CFD software and thermal modeling tools.
• Strong understanding of heat transfer, thermodynamics, and fluid dynamics.
• Experience with data acquisition systems and thermal testing methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop complex thermal management systems, including heat sinks and cooling solutions.
• Perform detailed thermal analysis and simulations using CFD/FEA to optimize performance.
• Select materials and components based on thermal conductivity, cost, and reliability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate thermal into product designs.
• Develop and execute test plans to validate thermal performance and identify improvements.
• Document design specifications, analysis results, and test reports.
