Job summary

International Cooling Tower, Inc. is seeking a design engineer to evaluate and develop heat transfer equipment, creating thermal models and 3-D solid models to support fluid dynamics analyses.

You will work with the Design Group and Engineering team to ensure customer specifications and company standards are met, producing technical documentation for each project. The role requires collaboration with the Project Engineer, writing specifications for boiler auxiliaries, and occasional travel to

Qualifications

• B.S. Degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering (or equivalent experience).
• 0–3 years of experience required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate the overall design of heat transfer equipment and perform detailed design.
• Collaborate with Project Engineer to meet customer specs and standards; resolve issues.
• Design thermal models for heat transfer calculations and create 3-D solid models for flow modeling.
• Perform fluid flow, heat transfer, vibration, and acoustic calculations per project schedule.
• Analyze field data to identify equipment modifications meeting customer needs.
• Write specifications for duct burners, expansion joints, catalysts, fans, pumps, and boiler auxiliaries.
• Create Operations and Maintenance Manuals and engineering study reports for each project.
• Collaborate with colleagues to solve design issues and share information across teams.
• Travel to job sites for troubleshooting, performance testing or inspections.
