AAA USA is actively hiring an experienced Thermal Spray Operator to support advanced aerospace manufacturing and gas turbine component repair programs in Jupiter, Florida. The role requires hands-on experience with thermal spray coatings, robotic systems, CNC machining, and automated production cells to ensure coating quality and process efficiency.

Applicants should have experience with HVOF, Plasma Spray, APS, or similar coatings, and be comfortable programming or operating FANUC, ABB, or KUKA

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in thermal spray or related manufacturing.
• Experience operating GTV, Sulzer Metco or similar.
• Experience with HVOF, Plasma Spray, APS or TBC.
• Experience operating or programming FANUC, ABB, KUKA robots.
• CNC operation or programming welcome.
• Ability to read blueprints and specs.
• Experience using precision measuring instruments.
• Basic computer skills; SAP or ERP experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States.

Essential Functions:

• Operate robotic thermal spray equipment to apply protective coatings to aerospace gas turbine components.
• Prepare components for coating through blasting, masking, cleaning, and fixture installation.
• Program, operate, and monitor automated coating systems, robotic manufacturing cells, and related production equipment.
• Inspect coating thickness, coverage, and overall quality using precision measuring equipment and engineering specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, engineering drawings, and coating specifications.
• Complete production, inspection, and quality documentation while reporting non-conforming conditions as required.
• Perform routine maintenance on thermal spray equipment, tooling, and automated systems.
• Collaborate with Production, Engineering, and Quality teams to ensure customer requirements and production schedules are met.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following all safety, environmental, and quality procedures.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in thermal spray, aerospace manufacturing, CNC machining, industrial robotics, automated manufacturing, or a related manufacturing environment.
• Experience operating thermal spray equipment such as GTV, Sulzer Metco, or similar coating systems preferred.
• Experience with HVOF, Plasma Spray, APS (Atmospheric Plasma Spray), Thermal Barrier Coatings (TBC), or other industrial coating processes preferred.
• Experience operating or programming industrial robots such as FANUC, ABB, KUKA, or similar automated manufacturing systems is a plus.
• CNC machine operation or programming experience is welcomed.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, work instructions, and technical specifications.
• Experience using precision measuring instruments and inspection equipment.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office; SAP or other ERP system experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States.
