Job summary

AAA USA Inc. is seeking an experienced Thermal Spray Operator for aerospace manufacturing programs in Jupiter, Florida. You will operate robotic thermal spray equipment, prepare components, and inspect coatings in a safety-focused environment.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in thermal spray or related fields, experience with GTV or Sulzer Metco systems, and familiarity with blueprints, SPC documentation, and ERP systems. Relocation assistance is available.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years in thermal spray, aerospace manufacturing, CNC machining, industrial robotics, or related manufacturing environment.
• Experience operating thermal spray equipment such as GTV or Sulzer Metco systems preferred.
• Experience with HVOF, Plasma Spray, APS, TBC, or other coatings processes preferred.
• Experience operating/programming industrial robots such as FANUC, ABB, or KUKA is a plus.
• CNC machine operation or programming experience welcomed.
• Ability to read blueprints, engineering drawings, and coating specs.
• Experience with precision measuring instruments and inspection equipment.
• Basic computer skills; SAP or ERP experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate robotic thermal spray equipment to apply protective coatings to aerospace gas turbine components.
• Prepare components for coating through blasting, masking, cleaning, and fixture installation.
• Program, operate, and monitor automated coating systems and robotic cells.
• Inspect coating thickness and coverage using precision measuring equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and coating specifications.
• Complete production, inspection, and quality documentation and report non-conforming conditions.
• Perform routine maintenance on thermal spray equipment and automated systems.
• Collaborate with Production, Engineering and Quality to meet customer requirements and schedules.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and follow safety procedures.

Essential Functions:

• Operate robotic thermal spray equipment to apply protective coatings to aerospace gas turbine components.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following all safety, environmental, and quality procedures.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in thermal spray, aerospace manufacturing, CNC machining, industrial robotics, automated manufacturing, or a related manufacturing environment.
• Experience operating thermal spray equipment such as GTV, Sulzer Metco, or similar coating systems preferred.
• Experience with HVOF, Plasma Spray, APS (Atmospheric Plasma Spray), Thermal Barrier Coatings (TBC), or other industrial coating processes preferred.
• Experience operating or programming industrial robots such as FANUC, ABB, KUKA, or similar automated manufacturing systems is a plus.
• CNC machine operation or programming experience is welcomed.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, work instructions, and technical specifications.
• Experience using precision measuring instruments and inspection equipment.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office; SAP or other ERP system experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States.
