Job summary

O'Neal Steel is seeking a Machine Operator on the 2nd shift at the Jacksonville, FL facility. You will set up and operate thermal processing equipment, including plasmas and lasers, while reading blueprints and following precise specifications to ensure quality output.

Responsibilities include using measuring tools (calipers, micrometers), operating material handling equipment, and maintaining safety standards. Overtime may be required; background check and drug test are mandatory.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret blueprints and work instructions.
• Use measuring tools such as tape measure, caliper, micrometer.
• Demonstrate safety awareness and PPE compliance.
• Collaborate with team to meet production goals.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate thermal processing equipment (plasma, laser, etc.).
• Operate a variety of material handling equipment as needed.
• Read and interpret blueprints and work instructions.
• Maintain quality and ensure timely output for internal and external customers.
• Commit to 2nd shift hours (1:00PM - 9:00PM) Monday-Friday.
