Job summary

Genesis Technical Staffing, Inc. is seeking a Major Equipment Procurement/Thermal Process Engineer 2 to support the Procurement Engineering department for Plant Vogtle Units 1–4. The role involves daily thermal analysis, item master prep, and equipment sizing for new and retrofit projects, with travel required.

Ideal candidates have 7–10 years of related experience and a Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering; PE or Masters is a plus. Proficiency in Excel and heat balance software is essential.

Qualifications

• 7-10 years experience in related field.
• Accredited Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• PE preferred or Masters a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform thermal analysis of simple and combined cycle plants; write technical reports and specifications.
• Run heat balance software.
• Travel 25% of the time.
• Size major equipment for new and retrofit projects.
• Utilize Excel for data and calculations.
• Utilize Thermoflow, Gate Cycle, or other Heat Balance programs.
• Troubleshoot plant equipment under warranty and provide field support.
• Support startup of new equipment at plant sites.
