Job summary

RTX is seeking a Mechanical - Thermal Engineer to join the MA&T Department. You will perform thermal analyses, develop test plans, and validate models for aerospace products across lifecycles. You will collaborate with a team of engineers on challenging problems, conduct tests worldwide, and produce comprehensive technical reports.

The role emphasizes hands-on analysis, interdepartmental collaboration, and a path to growth within robust engineering programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Science, Technology, or Mathematics (STEM) obtained by start date.
• Experience in thermal design and analysis.
• Experience with FloTHERM, PATRAN, Thermal Desktop/SINDA, or ANSYS.

Responsibilities

• Perform hand calculations and determine requirements for higher order detailed analysis.
• Perform detailed thermal analyses to solve program thermal design challenges.
• Generate test plans to validate analyses and verify hardware compliance to requirements.
• Support test setup and execution, analyze test data, correlate and validate thermal models.
• Coordinate and lead technical peer reviews ensuring technical accuracy of work product.
• Present results to internal stakeholders and external customers.
• Generate detailed, archival technical reports.
