Job summary

Antares in Torrance, CA is seeking an analyst to build and run thermal‑fluids models of reactor components to ensure designs meet thermal, mechanical, and performance requirements in extreme environments. You will support design engineers with iterative feedback and maintain rapid development pace.

The role requires a BS in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, CFD experience with Fluent/CFX/Star‑CCM+, CAD with Siemens NX, and Python or Matlab scripting.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or similar field required.
• Experience building and running CFD models with Fluent/CFX/Star-CCM+ including conjugate heat transfer.
• CAD experience with Siemens NX for design modification and defeaturing.
• Strong scripting skills in Python or Matlab to build tools and calculators.

Responsibilities

• Assess subcomponent designs for pressure drop and heat transfer using hand calcs, in-house tools, and CFD.
• Collaborate with design engineers to provide sizing guidance and design feedback.
• Document analytical results and communicate assumptions and limitations to stakeholders.
• Support test engineers with collaborative test design and data review to validate models.
• Develop internal tools to enable engineers to perform analytical assessments quickly.
