Job summary

Relativity Space, Inc. is seeking a CFD Analyst to contribute to the design and qualification of combustion devices hardware using Computational Fluid Dynamics. You will partner with propulsion and manufacturing teams to anchor models and inform design decisions.

Requirements include a BS in science or engineering, 2+ years of CFD experience, and scripting in Python or MATLAB. Familiarity with STAR-CCM+ is a plus, along with a solid grounding in fluid mechanics and heat transfer.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of CFD analyses (employment, internships, projects)
• Familiar with CFD steps: pre/post-processing, meshing, boundary conditions
• Experience with Python, MATLAB or similar scripting
• Strong background in fluid mechanics and heat transfer

Responsibilities

• Contribute to design and qualification of combustion devices hardware through CFD Analysis
• Review test and flight data to anchor models
• Interface with hardware designers to influence design decisions
• Develop analysis approaches to decrease design iteration time
• Demonstrate accountability, collaboration and execution
