Valar Atomics is seeking a Staff CFD Analysis Engineer to own high‑fidelity CFD and thermal‑hydraulics work for reactor internals and balance‑of‑plant systems. You will translate physical problems into robust Ansys Fluent models, document V&V per nuclear quality standards, and mentor junior analysts.

The role interfaces with multiple engineering teams to build coupled multiphysics workflows and to deliver actionable conclusions for designers, safety analysts, and regulators.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Nuclear Engineering.
• 8+ years of professional CFD analysis experience.
• Master's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Nuclear Eng is preferred.
• Asme V&V 20 knowledge and uncertainty quantification experience.
• Exposure to nuclear quality programs (NQA-1, ISO 9001, 10 CFR 50 Appendix B).
• Experience with NRC/ASME regulatory environments is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Plan and perform high-fidelity CFD and conjugate-heat-transfer analyses in Ansys Fluent.
• Establish and document V&V basis per ASME V&V 20, incl. mesh-convergence studies.
• Coordinate data exchange across streams (Flownex, Neutronics, FEA).
• Lead problem definition, independent reviews, and analysis-report packages.
• Interface with thermal-fluid, structural, and neutronics teams for multiphysics.
• Lead CFD modelling standards, mentor junior analysts, & support regulator interactions.
• Develop CFD methods and templates; assist Stream Lead on scoping and scheduling.
