Job summary

Permasteelisa North America seeks a Building Physicist Engineer (Thermal) to lead thermal and façade performance analyses across our US locations. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Civil/Structural/Mechanical Engineering or Physics and 3–5+ years of building physics experience.

You will perform 2D/3D thermal simulations, assess thermal bridging and condensation risks, and coordinate with clients, consultants and architects to meet project specifications and codes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor level degree in architecture, civil/structural/mechanical engineering or physics.
• 3–5+ years’ experience in building physics, thermal modeling, or façade engineering.
• NFRC Certified Simulator preferred.

Responsibilities

• Check adequacy of thermal, acoustic and performance-based requirements in specifications and provide feedback to tender department and client.
• Coordinate with client, consultants and architect to ensure specifications comply with project requirements and codes.
• Perform advanced 2D and 3D thermal simulations for complex building envelope details and assess thermal bridging, condensation risk and thermal shock.
