Job description

• Assist therapists with activities related to individual patient treatment
• Perform duties under therapist direction in accordance with American Physical/Occupational Therapy Associations rules and regulations
• Assist patients with assigned exercises under direct therapist supervision
• Assist clinical staff as permitted and supervised by the therapist
• Prepare, clean, and maintain exercise equipment
• Clean and sanitize shared surfaces and patient care areas
• Follow equipment and supply care policies and report irregularities to the therapist or clinical manager
• Perform clerical duties including answering phones, filing, and stocking necessary items
• Perform laundry duties and restock linen supplies

Requirements

• Strong communication

• Ability to perform frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending/stooping, kneeling/crouching, overhead reaching, and full range of motion
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs frequently, 21–50 lbs frequently, and 51+ lbs rarely
• Ability to continuously carry objects, push/pull, use fine motor skills, maintain visual acuity, hear, speak clearly, and operate office equipment
• Ability to work in confined spaces frequently
• Ability to use personal protective equipment as needed
• Must be able to work in a clinical environment with rare exposure to infectious materials/radiation
• Must be authorized to work in the United States; employer participates in e-Verify
